If the old adage is true, we are a pretty schizophrenic lot. One day, we feast at the latest all-organic, locavore restaurant; the next we succumb to the temptation of our supermarket’s snack aisle, with its ever more ingeniously processed food. What would a food anthropologist say to all that?
