    Common has risen to prominence as one of hip-hop's most poetic and respected lyricists.  His albums include: Can I Borrow a Dollar?, Resurrection, One Day It’ll All Make Sense, Like Water For Chocolate, Electric Circus, BE, and Finding Forever. On both BE and Finding Forever, he partnered with Chicago native and rap music megastar Kanye West.. Common established the Common Ground Foundation with a mission of outreach to younger generations; has performed as an actor and musician in several films, and has authored four books.

  • ABOUT Adam Bradley

    Adam Bradley is a scholar of African American literature and a writer on black popular culture. His commentary has appeared in The New York Times and The Washington Post as well as on PBS, NPR, and C-SPAN. He is the author or editor of several books, including Book of Rhymes: The Poetics of Hip Hop and The Anthology of Rap. Most recently, he coauthored the rapper and actor Common’s memoir, One Day It’ll All Make Sense. Profile

    Itch13 aka Itchie Fingers, DJ, has shared stages with Wiz Khalifa, Guru (Gangstarr), Little Brother, Clyde Stubblefield, DJ Kool Herc, Dead Prez, Wise Intelligent & The Black Sheep. He's performed at most major venues in Chicago, including Millenium Park, Chicago Theatre, House of Blues, and The Metro.
