1 of 1

What will Chicago look like in 2100? What change will have come to the dwellings in our city and its outskirts, to roadways and transit, communications networks, technology, and economies? Will we commute via flying cars? Or will we no longer be commuting at all? Four visionary designers and thinkers imagines the future from both short-term and long-term vantage points. Panelists include architect and planner Doug Farr; former president of the Chicago Urban League and 2009 candidate for United States Senate Cheryle Jackson; and IBM's Director of Citizenship & Technology, John Tolva. Adele Simmons, vice chair of Chicago Metropolis 2020, moderates.

Presented in partnership with the Chicago Public Library, Chicago Matters, and Chicago Metropolis 2020.
