On February 23, Elizabeth Warren gave the 2011 Joanne H. Alter Women in Government Lecture, presented by the Chicago Humanities Festival. One of a handful of public appearances since she was named to her current post, she talked about her personal and intellectual journey and its culmination in the building of an agency.
Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Elizabeth Warren most recently served as the Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law at Harvard University and Chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel to investigate the Trouble Assets Relief Program (TARP).
