Jara Kern, Director, Marketing Strategy and Communications, joined the staff in July 2008. She earned her MBA in arts administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she also holds degrees in flute performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (BM) and S.U.N.Y.-Purchase (MM). Previously she has worked at The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York in education and outreach and at the Madison Symphony in marketing. She was also the Associate Director of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp, a multidisciplinary fine arts camp in Sitka, Alaska. At CHF, Jara coordinates marketing and communication initiatives, including media and marketing strategies for the festival and for individual events, as well as develops and implements assessment metrics and strategies for audience development.
