Tickets for this event go on sale Tuesday, May 18th at 10:00 am.

How to Order Tickets

To purchase tickets through our website, simply create an online account and add your favorite events to your Festival Itinerary. Once you’ve picked out your events, click "Purchase Tickets" to complete your order. You will need to submit a credit card number and mailing address for your order to be processed. Orders are processed in the order they are received.

You may also call our box office at 312.661.1028 ext. 35. Our box office is open from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Payment and Pricing

Tickets for the Jonathan Alter Lecture are $5 for CHF members, $10 for the general public. Visit our membership page for more details and to join today.

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted for online or phone orders; cash only for tickets purchased at the door. There is no additional processing fee for this event.

Refunds/Exchanges

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, except in the event of a program cancellation. If you are unable to attend a program for which you have purchased a ticket, please call the Ticket Office prior to the program to donate your ticket. Donated tickets must be returned to the Festival in order for you to receive a tax deduction.

Admission Policy

Ticket holders are only guaranteed admission until 10 minutes prior to program start time. Seats unclaimed 10 minutes prior to program start may be reassigned.

CHF limits advance ticket sales to the capacity of its venues. However, seats may be available at sold out programs. If available, tickets will be sold at the door, first-come first-served, 10 minutes prior to the start time of each program.
