Why can't I find tickets for certain programs?
1: Is it possible to search for programs by the numbers listed in my program guide?
Yes. Simply enter the program # of interest in the global search field located in the upper right hand corner of the site.
2: How do I order tickets through the website?
To order tickets, follow these three steps:
Click “REGISTER” and follow the instructions on the screen to create an online account.
Once registered, locate programs of interest and select “ADD TO ITINERARY” for each.
Once your itinerary is complete, click the “BUY TICKETS” button on your itinerary page. Follow the instructions within the checkout process.
3: I’m having trouble processing my order online. Is there a number I can call?
You can call our box office at 312.494.9509. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm.
4: My itinerary shows tickets purchased in a previous online order. How do I add to my itinerary without repurchasing those tickets?
For your convenience, your itinerary retains a history of all programs you plan to see. To avoid repurchase of previously ordered programs, simply change ticket quantities to “0” on those events.
5: I’m having a hard time reading the text. Is there a way to increase the font size?
Font size can be adjusted by using the “TEXT SIZE” selector (located beneath the “CHF Features” pull down). There are three sizes to choose from; simply click the size appropriate for you.
6: Are tickets available for all programs featured on the website?
Our new website provides content for both past and upcoming programs, allowing festival patrons to enjoy festival events year round.
To view upcoming events, select “Festival Events” from the navigation on the left, click the Browse Events link at the top of the page, or simply follow this link .
A 20 year archive of past festival events provides access to audio, video, slideshows, images, transcripts and/or essays for dozens of programs. To access previous events, select a category (Arts & Architecture, History, Literature, etc.) and then choose a program of interest. Click LAUNCH MEDIA to experience program content.
