I think you need to work to get your transit system to where it’s not just a commuting system, [but rather] it’s a living system.
From neighborhood to city to region, how are innovative planners, activists, and policy-makers making a difference on the ground today and how will they be leading our city forward over the next 20 years? Moderated by Chicago Public Radio's Steve Edwards, this panel considers practical and immediate solutions to questions about housing, education, transportation, and environmental sustainability in and around our fair city, Chicago. Panelists include John Fregonese, a regional planning and transportation expert; Sadhu Johnston, Vancouver's deputy city manager and former chief environmental officer of Chicago; and Carlos Nelson, executive director of the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation.
