2021 Annual Benefit & Celebration

About the Event:

Our Annual Benefit & Celebration will celebrate the power of community, as we once again come together in-person for a night of lively performances, thoughtful conversations, and more.

5:30pm Reception and Strolling Supper

7pm Program in the Edlis Neeson Theater

The Chicago Humanities Festival is excited for our upcoming return to stages across Chicago this fall! We hope you’ll join us as we come together in-person to celebrate our city and the power of community with a night of lively performance and thoughtful conversation.

We are thrilled to honor internationally-renowned architect, MacArthur Fellow and past Festival presenter Jeanne Gang with this year’s Vision Award. Jeanne will be joined by CHF’s Marilynn Thoma Artistic Director Alison Cuddy for an insightful conversation on how the built environment connects us as communities. The evening will be MC’d and feature musical performances by Festival favorites — Rob Lindley, Doug Peck, and Bethany Thomas, along with an incredible line-up of Chicago’s finest talent.

All proceeds from the evening will help ensure CHF as Chicago’s home for critical civic and cultural conversations, enabling us to amplify new ideas and voices in ways only the

arts and humanities are able.
