About the Event:

Paul and Stephen Kendrick (Douglass and Lincoln) come to CHF to discuss their new book Nine Days, the first full recounting of Martin Lurther King Jr.’s arrest at an Atlanta sit-in just days before the 1960 presidential election between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon. Nine Days tells the story of Kennedy’s civil rights staffers who worked to free King—a move that helped Kennedy win the presidency, revolutionized party affiliations, and changed the face of the Democratic Party.
