Sasha Sagan on Finding Meaning
About the Event:
The search for meaning may be central to human life, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy, even for a searcher as well equipped as Sasha Sagan. The daughter of the late astronomer Carl Sagan and writer/producer Ann Druyan, Sagan grew up in a family attuned to the wonder of the natural world. When she herself became a mother, she drew from her childhood nature lessons to create a set of rituals for her daughter, activities that also inspired her family to appreciate the beauty in small things. Sagan’s ideas, captured in her new book, For Small Creatures Such as We, will invite us all to celebrate life, love, and the power of mindful observation.
