From Freedom to Equality
The third annual Chicago Humanities Festival, From Freedom to Equality, challenged audiences to rediscover the cherished American ideals of freedom and equality through arts and letters, history and drama. Freedom and equality are inextricably linked, both complementing and constraining each other. The speakers re-examined classical thought and contemporary perspectives, moving beyond traditional liberal and conservative viewpoints to the realm of our everyday lives.
