Belief on the Path to Enlightenment: A Buddhist Perspective
There is an absence of belief in God in Buddhism, but not an absence of belief itself. University of Michigan's Donald Lopez is a leading scholar of Buddhism, particularly how the western world encountered, explored, and in some cases embraced it. Lopez comes to CHF to remind us of the varieties of belief required by the Buddhist path, including rebirth and the infinite perfectibility of the human mind.
This program is presented in partnership with the Institute for the Humanities at the University of Michigan.
