School Choice?

Chicago’s elite public schools are the best in the state, but some of its neighborhood schools are the worst in the nation. CPS administrators say that parents have a choice, but do they really? Award-winning writer and sociologist Mary Pattillo interviewed more than 70 Chicago families to explore how school choice impacts their experiences within the public education system.
